Annual Shiloh Golf Outing

It's in the books! Another tremendously successful Golf Outing was held this past Saturday, August 20, at Cassel Hills Golf Club in Vandalia. Despite rains throughout and a 45 minute storm delay, the outing, with a record number of players, was completed before 6:00 p.m. The dinner and auction were held thereafter and were, like the outing itself, a huge success.

Shiloh needs to express its appreciation for the Miami Valley business community, which donated around $5,000 to sponsorships, to members of Shiloh Church, who provided about $4,500 in sponsorships and another $1,500 in direct contributions, for those who attended and took part in the auction, that raised around $1,800, to those who donated, made, or arranged for auction items, and for all who supported the Annual Shiloh Church Golf Outing. Because of your generosity and hard work, more than $13,000 will be dispersed to local needy families through the upcoming holidays. Last year, we raised just over $10,000 and helped about 80 families. This year, we will be able to do even more, maybe providing a holiday blessing to as many as 100 local Miami Valley families.

This is important ministry. It is more important to the families Shiloh assists than it is even to us. The success of the event can be measured by the extent to which we touch the lives of those around us. That is a different measure than money or people or participation. Shiloh directly touches lives through the Shiloh Golf Outing. Each of you touches lives. Your ministry is important to the people who benefit from the Outing.

To ensure the ongoing impact of the Shiloh Golf Outing, your work is just beginning, however. You can continue to lend a hand and increase support for the Outing throughout the year. Here is how. Visit the businesses who support the Shiloh Outing. Tell them that you appreciate their support and that you are there because of their assistance. (A list of supporting businesses appears below.) Thank those who contribute. Let them know that their assistance goes a long way toward the success of the Outing, and is a direct way that Shiloh touches lives. (A list of individual contributors also appears below.)

The mini-golf outing has now been organized as well. On Saturday, September 10, starting at 1:00 p.m. we will gather on the patio at T.J. Chumps in Englewood. From there, teams of four persons will be called to Putter's Par-A-Dise, located behind Chumps, for your tee time. Lowest aggregate team score wins. Pizza and appetizers will be provided. Drinks and other food is at additional cost. Cost of the event is $15.00 per person. All proceeds join those of the Shiloh Golf Outing in support of needy families through the upcoming holidays. We anticipate being done around 4:00 p.m. Sign up now on the Green Table, in teams of four persons. Choose a team name. Then join us on September 10.

A special thanks to Jay McMillen, who did much of the leg work, planning and running of the Annual Shiloh Church Golf Outing. It takes hundreds of small and large investments to make the Outing such a huge success. Thanks to those who golfed. This year's teams scored within nine strokes, ranging from a winning score of 63 and a high number of strokes at 72. Well done, everyone! Shiloh is Living the Word by Serving the World!

The crooked, lying, sell-the-state-department-to-the-highest-bidder Hillary should be in prison. When poor people break the law or endanger national security, that is where they end up. But I guess the criminal code only applies to the poor and the middle class. She caused a loss of jobs in NY state… has never really done much in her 3+ decades in “public service” (ha ha to that term), which could possibly be overlooked somewhat if it were not for the far more egregious wrongs she has committed: endangering national security… So this election season, we are faced with a choice, which is beginning to look a lot like… Bad things said (Trump) versus Bad things DONE (Clinton). Hillary is the consummate lying politician and con artist. 70% of the population call her Dishonest, or Liar. Who wants a pathological liar for president? A sample of her many lies (more/less verbatim): I never sent or received Classified emails… We were under sniper fire… When we left the White House, we were dead broke… I turned over all my emails…I don’t know what that “C” on the documents meant… I cannot recall… I cannot recall… I cannot recall ..I made a mistake… [regarding the destruction of government property!]. Trump rightly shot back No, it was not a mistake, it was intentional! Jesus tells us that only those who do the will of God [will escape Hell [paraphrase]. He also strongly implied that few do escape Hell (Mt 7, Lk 13, etc). So few seem to even care about, much less do, the “will of the Father.” As the Old Testament puts it: Everyone does what is right in his own eyes [which usually means NOT doing what is right in God’s eyes (Isaiah says that God’s ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts”]. It looks like maybe Hillary does not care about going to Hell (?). God knows, but we cannot let her drag the rest of us (and this once awesome country) there. So… we who try to appreciate and do the will of the Father will vote for Trump, who is not exactly perfect… but far closer to it (policy-wise, philosophy-wise, VP-wise) than Hillary. We recall Hillary when she was first lady: screaming abusively (allegedly)at staff over the slightest mistake… we recall her (allegedly) throwing a lamp at Bill… the list goes on. Uh, yeh… maybe the Left should not bring up temperament? And sexism? Hillary, rather than defend the victims of Bill, the sexual predator, called them “bimbo… looney-tunes… failure,” and threatened (here’s that temperament issue again) to “crucify” (at least one of) them! Bill’s victims who dared to speak out experienced violent retribution: pet cats and dogs went missing (“just disappeared”), cats were killed, tires were slashed, children of the victims were threatened by strangers (after mentioning what had happened to the unfortunate pet). See Breitbart.com… As one commentator said, with the Clintons, it is Thug Nation It is the Republicans (Donald Trump) who wants to give these low-income children school vouchers so they can get a quality education—along with the wealthy. The elites in DC rarely, if ever send their children to public schools, while at the same time they repeatedly vote against the voucher system, the hypocrites! See the movie Hillary’s America. Or read the book by the same name. Not all far left liberals are serial liars, but all serial liars are far left liberals. Hillary is sold out to her donors, which include HOSTILE, anti-democracy governments, countries that treat women, Jews and Christians like 3rd class citizens, and who give gays the death penalty… She is a blatant hypocrite to claim to care about equality or freedom… Yes, it looks like this election comes down to: Bad things said versus Bad things DONE PLEASE SHARE THIS WITH AS MANY AS POSSIBLE. Your country needs you! One of the most important things you can spend your spare time doing is fighting for your country…
